Beam Pockets are square recessed spaces in the poured concrete or cinder block foundation wall. These beam pocket locations typically carry a steel supporting beam, or a 3 ply wood supporting beam. These same beam pockets can leak from the beam pocket area, either below grade or above grade with a driving rain against the brick vaneer. It is also common to get a settlement crack from the beam pocket to the floor. Beam pockets can be addressed by a repair independently or in conjunction with a crack stemming from the beam pocket to the floor by method of AquaPak, AquaGrout, or AquaBlue Wall Treatment.
